Finalization!

It's official! We are a family of four! On December 7 we went to our local probate court and promised to be Sarah's family forever. It was very anticlimactic. Instead of a court room, it was a conference room. Instead of a judge in a robe, it was a judge in an LL Bean sweater circa 2004. Sarah had just woken up from her nap so when the judge was speaking to her, she started yawning. Our social worker signed some papers, the judge signed papers and that was it!

What was monumental was this journey. It's been more than three years since we decided to adopt another baby. We began this process in 2009. Our precious daughter was born in 2010. We found out she was going to be ours in 2011. We were finally able to bring her home more than a year later in 2012. And here we are on the heels of 2013 with our finally family of 4! I am so thankful that we are on this side of the process and have been so blessed to be the parents of our adorable Sarah Michele Bo-ra!
