It was another adventurous Christmas for us. First we felt so blessed to have Sarah home with us this year. Just last year we had presents but our daughter was halfway around the world in the home of her loving foster family. We ached for her to be home but it wasn't our turn yet. What a difference a year makes!
We spend Christmas Eve in Long Island. We went to church and ate Polish food (yuck). Sarah enjoyed the chips and potatoes. On Christmas Day we drove back to CT for more presets and food. Jack had a blast but Sarah got tired and cranky. Poor thing! So many people wanted to celebrate with her that we wore her out!
I joke that I am raising the tortoise and the hare. Jack went through his presents in about 45 seconds and Sarah needed help opening her presents because she wanted to take each present out of the box and play with it before moving on. It was a holiday filled with a lot of blessings, for certain!
