Thanks SDMS!

My friends at Silas Deane Middle School bestowed me with this lovely basket filled with so many goodies for Sarah. Mark and I are overwhelmed for the love and affection for our daughter, although she is still 7000 miles away. One of the saddest days was when my friend at Wethersfield High School wanted to throw me a baby shower. I told her that I already had a child and it wasn't necessary. But, since I've known her from the days of a training bra, she insisted. :) It was scheduled for early June 2011. A few days after she organized the shower, I had to call her, in tears, asking her to cancel it. My daughter wasn't coming home in 2011. She gracefully cancelled the shower, but we still had a get together to celebrate the end of the school year. I did a lot of drinking that day! My baby shower wasn't happening because my baby wasn't coming home. Fast forward one year later and this bucket was met with great joy because Sarah is finally, and really, coming home. Much love to all my peeps at Silas Deane for loving me through one of the ugliest years of our lives! I feel a rally coming on for the second half of 2012!!!
