Our tour guide

Our tour guide had a fascinating story. He was 22 and had spent some time in New Zeland. He got done serving his 1 year and 10 month requirement in the military and was volunteerin with Holt while he ponders his university study course. As a volunteer with Holt he helps track down birth families to reunite adoptees with their parents. This, is that I love most about traveling....learning more about people. Joshua's top 10 list.....

10. His name was John when he was Catholic. But when he switched to presbyterian he became Joshua.
9. He used to think adoption was bad but realized that the needs of the children outweighted Korea's need to keep them when he started working at Holt.
8.He said a father's role in the home was very hands off. He said many fathers know it's not right but they still don't help around the house, he wants to be different.
7. He deactivated his account on facebook b/c a chick broke his heart. Oh, Mark Zuckerberg....
6. The term for "cheers" in Koren is pronounced "gun bay" and the youngest serves the oldest first. Boy, did that moment hurt!
5. When we told him year of the dragon, he was shocked by 1976. He thought we were 28. LOVE!

2. Daniel Dae Kim is not famout in Korea. If you want to be famous in Korea, you need to be in Korean movies.
1. Korean golfers come from a lot of money and do not practice in Korea. They frequentlym move to New Zeland to hone their craft.
