The kids and I spent most of the week in CT. We caught up with co-workers, visited with family, saw some friends. The weather was rainy and chilly but the kids had fun seeing everyone.
For Jack's birthday we promised to take him to the Statue of Liberty. While back in NY we had dinner with Vera's dry cleaner who is from the same city that Jack was born in. We went to an amazing Korean restaurant where we had sushi, Korean BBQ and rice wine. Mr & Mrs Kim loved the kids and the kids were very friendly toward them.
We went to the Statue. Security is like airport security and it was quite windy but it was a great experience for Jack to see such an import part of American history. It was windy but we all really enjoyed it.
Easter morning we had a brunch at Vera's and left at 1:30 for the airport. We has a smooth flight back to Charlotte. 5 minutes on the highway and my car died. We pulled over to the side of the highway and called AAA. They sent a tow truck and we had to call a cab to fit all of us and all of our belongings. The cab took us back to the airport where we rented a car and drove back to Cola. It was very late and a rough start to the week but we all had a great time and look forward to seeing everyone in July!
