While we miss our friends and family in the Northeast, one if the benefits if living in SC is that people like to visit this state and it allows us to catch up with friends we haven't been able to see on a regular basis!
We took the kids to Myrtle Beach to catch up with my college friends. We graduated almost 15 years ago (eek!) but it is still so much fun catching up.
The only not so great thing was our hotel. We were on the unrenovated first floor and our room walked directly out to the pool. Sounds fun but no so great at 11pm with people splashing about and banging against your door! This picture sums up our hotel experience: it's the sign out front.
Despite our less than impressive digs, we had a great time catching up, watching out kids play together (more like Shannon running a camp) and a few cocktails on the beach made for a great weekend!
