Boston Strong

Last Saturday we took a day trip to Boston. It was a great time! Amy, the kids and I left at 7:15 am to spend some time with my cousin Nikki, her husband and precious daughter Briley.

We then went to Briley's swimming lesson and then back to Nikki's house for some lunch. After lunch we headed out for our Boston Strong tour.

Seeing the sites an the memorial not only brought sadness but anger. How could you come to a country, claim to love it as your own, take advantage of government assistance, drive a Mercedes, get a scholarship and turn around and blow your fellow citizens up? It enrages you. If it doesn't, it should. It was a reminder of how precious life is and how in the spite of tragedy, people still long to come together for a common purpose.

We then met up with some friends. It was nice to catch up and have local knowledge. I've been to Boston so many times but I have trouble putting the city together in my head. We ended the day with pizza being made in front of our eyes. The kids loved it!

Boston Strong.
